How we check the numbers
What's On Vegas is independent. No hotel, casino, club or event pays to be listed or ranked. Some booking links earn a commission, marked "sponsored" in the page code; they never change which nights or hotels we show.
Where the numbers come from
- Hotel pricesThe same 26 Las Vegas Strip resorts, priced on each sampled night: the lowest rate on the big booking sites for 2 adults, before taxes and resort fees. A resort with no room left counts as sold out, and as dearer than any room still on sale, so a full city reads as expensive, not cheap. Each price says the night it was checked.
- Events and crowd sizesThe LVCVA convention calendar (events with 5,000 or more attendees), plus the big sports weekends and holidays.
- Rooms that see the Grand Prix trackEach hotel tower checked against the circuit with a line-of-sight model, alongside what the hotels, guests and guides say. The model ignores grandstands and screens built for the race, so we never sell a room as "track view" on the model alone.
- The live mapMap data from OpenStreetMap (OpenFreeMap); aircraft from adsb.lol, refreshed every 15 seconds.
Before you book
Prices move and events change. Check the hotel or event's own site before you book or travel.
